Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, March 17, 1927 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Passing of Aged Mexico Woman - Emmeline R. Willis, 84, died about seven o'clock Wednesday morning, March 9, 1927, at the home of her step-granddaughter, Mrs. Leverett Buck, Pulaski Hill. She was the daughter of the late Seth Howard of Fernwood, and widow of the late Lodwick Willis. For the past sixteen years, she had made her home with her step-granddaughter. She was a member of the Fernwood Methodist Episcopal church. Surviving besides her step-granddaughter is a step-son, Frank Willis of Fernwood, and a half-sister, Miss Helen Howard of Mexico. Funeral services were held Friday, March 11, at the home of her step-granddaughter, Mrs. Leverett Buck, Rev. C. F. Miller of Rome, New York, officiated. Interment was made in Willis cemetery.
