  January 24, 1905 ~ George W. Furbush, age 79 years, 11 months, Married, Farmer, born in Sacketts Harbor, New York, Son of Adam Furbush, and unknown, Died in Fernwood of inanition, old age. Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, February 8, 1905 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Fernwood - Died at his home January 24, George Furbush, aged over 80 years. A good many of these years have been spent in this place. A number of years he was a sailor and engaged in whale fishing. He has many times interested the villagers with accounts of his early life. He has been feeble for many months and leaves a widow, two daughters, Mrs. A. H. Sampson and Mrs. George Wood, all of this place. He died in belief of a full redemption. Interment in Union Square cemetery, Rev. McMickle officiating. Fernwood quartet was requested to sing.
