      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, June 18, 1959 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Scott L. Whitmore Rites Saturday - Scott L. Whitmore, 77, died suddenly Tuesday evening at his home in Box Street. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Park Methodist Church with the Rev. W. Russell Clark, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Willis Cemetery. Friends may call at the Taylor Funeral Home Thursday and Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Rebekah service will be held at the funeral home Friday at 7 p.m. and the Masons will meet at the funeral home at 8 p.m. I.O.O.F. rites will be conducted at the cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fay Whitmore and a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Ladd of Redfield, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Born April 13, 1882 at Macy, Indiana, he was the son of Martin and Margaret Clemens Whitmore. He received his early education in Macy and was employed by the railroad until coming to Pulaski in 1915. He was rural mail carrier for 32 years retiring in 1945. He was married to Mrs. Fay Spaller of Detroit, Michigan at Mexico May 25, 1938. He was a member of Park Methodist Church, Pulaski Lodge 648, I.O.O.F., Salmon Ricer Encampment No. 31, Canton Pulaski No. 4, P.M. and Rising Sun Rebekah Lodge of Pulaski; and Eureka Masonic Lodge No. 58 of Sharpsburg, Maryland.
