      Harvey E. Yerdon, 92, a lifelong resident of Redfield, died Sunday at the Williamstown home of his granddaughter.

      Mr. Yerdon was a school bus driver for Sandy Creek schools for 27 years, retiring in 1976. He owned Tug Hill Maple Products and was owner and operator of Yerdon Excavating & Trucking until retiring in 1980. He was also employed at Camden Wire Co. for 13 years.

      Born Oct. 14, 1914, in Redfield, the son of Andy and Clarissa Gibbs Yerdon, he attended Redfield schools.

      He married Meda Perry on Sept. 30, 1939, in Redfield.

      Mr. Yerdon spent winters in Fellsmere, Fla. He was a member of Valley Baptist Church, Osceola, and the Fellsmere Community Bible Church.

      Surviving besides his wife are a son and his wife, Alvin "Sonny" and Linda Yerdon, Redfield; four daughters and their husbands, Geraldine "Sue" and Leon Archer, Fulton, Cathie and Ralph Luzzolino, Orwell, Gloria and Perry Yerdon and Donna and William Cmaylo, all of Redfield; two brothers, Arnold and Victor, both of Phoenix; 23 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

      A daughter, Elucia Wilson, two sons-in-law, Frank Wilson and David Balcom, a sister, Doris Yerdon, and two brothers, Emery and Earl Yerdon, died before him.

      The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with his son-in-law, Pastor William Cmaylo, and the Rev. Matthew Archer officiating.

      Burial will be in Redfield Cemetery.

      Calling hours are from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

      Donations may be made to Oswego County Hospice.
