Lois Eckhoff, 79, of 3317 Walnut St., Bethlehem Township, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, in her home. She was the wife of William J. Eckhoff Sr. They were married for 38 years in October.
Born in Edwardsville, Luzerne County, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Jenkins) Sprake.
She was a member of Fritz Memorial United Methodist Church, Bethlehem, where she was and a board member, 35-year Sunday school teacher and choir singer.
She was a member of Cub Scout Pack 346, Bethlehem, and the Minsi Trails Council, having been a Den moth, Den leader coach, committee woman, Cub commissioner and an assistant district commissioner. She was a recipient of the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Scouting award.
Survivors: Husband; daughter, Karen, wife of John Higgins of Moscow, Lackawanna County; sons, Charles LaBella of Troy, Ohio, Maurice LaBella of Lady Lake, Fla., and William J. Eckhoff Jr. of Bethlehem Township, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services: 3 p.m. Friday in the church. No calling hours. Arrangements, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, Coplay.
