    • Newspaper Obituary - January 15, 1936 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Member of Pioneer Family Dies At Albion Home - David B. Phillips, 66, died at his farm home in Albion about five miles south-east of Pulaski early Saturday morning. Mr. Phillips was a member of one of our pioneer families, the farm where he was born, lived his entire life and died, having been in the family since 1830. He was a son of the late Hiram and Elizabeth Soule Phillips, born January 11, 1870. In August 1890 he married Miss Lizzie Emmons, who survives him. He was a member of Albion Center Grange for 42 years, being a possessor of a Silver Certificate from that organization. He was also an assessor for the Town of Albion. Surviving besides the widow are one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Blount of Lacona; four sons, Guy of Parish; Lynn of Pulaski; Ralph and Vernon at home and ten grandchildren. The funeral was held at the home Monday afternoon, Rev. George Leitka of Fernwood, officiating. Burial in Dugway cemetery.
