      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, March 29, 1956 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Rites Held for Miss Burr, 81 - Miss Harriet M. Burr. 81, died at her home at 9 James Street Thursday night following a short illness. She had been in poor health several years from a heart ailment. Funeral services were held from the Foster Funeral Home Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Cyrus M. Gonigam, pastor of the Congregational church officiating. Interment was in Pulaski Cemetery. Surviving are a niece, Mrs. George (Marion) Doneburgh of Syracuse and a nephew, Lieut. Col. Frank Burr, United States Army of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Miss Burr was born August 17, 1874 in the town of Albion the daughter of Albert and Maria Valentine Burr. She had lived in this vicinity all her life receiving her education in the old Academy. She taught in the rural schools for several years after which she took a business course in Syracuse where she obtained a secretarial position which she assumed for several years in that city. After returning to Pulaski to care for her parents in their old age and death, she was secretary to the Farrington gas station and later the Farrington and Son Coal Company. She also worked for the Pulaski Fuel Corp. after it was sold to Martin Eselin. Ill health forced her to retire only a few years ago.
