      Deceased Name: ELLISBURG NATIVE ABRAM ALLEN JR. DIES AT 79
      Abram N. Allen Jr., 79, of 9113 S. Main St., died Saturday in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, following a lengthy illness.
      The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Summerville Funeral Home, with the Rev. Janet Gibbs officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
      Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
      Surviving are two sons, Abram N. 3rd and Dell, both of Sandy Creek; two daughters, Carolyn Briggs, Syracuse, and Isabell Dodimead, Auburn; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Buck, Pulaski, and several nephews and nieces.
      Born in Ellisburg on Aug. 14, 1912, a son of Abram N. and Alma Lansing Allen, he attended local schools. A marriage to Eva England ended in divorce.
      Mr. Allen was employed with New York Central Railroad and as a laborer on several local farms until becoming disabled in 1951.
