Woodbury, father of the bride, in Orwell, New York, January 1st, 1880, by Rev. J. Douglas, Mr. William H. Lattimer and Miss Georgia A. Woodbury, both of Orwell.

Newspaper Article - Thursday, January 15, 1880 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Orwell - One of the most brilliant and interesting social events which has occurred in our annals for some time, took place according to arrangement on the birthday of the new year, which was indeed a most fitting day for so happy indication, which was no less than the solemnization of the nuptials of that charming belle of our society, Miss Georgiana, next to the youngest daughter of our honored friend, Col. George F. Woodbury, with Mr. William H. Lattimer, one of our most popular and rising young man. At the appointed time, Rev. James Douglas, of Pulaski, accompanied by his wife, drew up his spanking span of ponies at the home of the bride, followed in due season by the guests, then, "The words were said, the deed was done, which made two loving hearts to beat as one." The traditional marriage feast was of course rich, and "there was much joy," and with (in imagination) the wedding chimes softly pealing on the air, mingled with the congratulations of many friends and the happiest complements of the new year, their bark of matrimony was thus auspiciously launched upon the great sea of life. May kind heaven gently and safely guide the craft down the stream of time, with no ripple to mar its surface, and vouchsafe much of that happiness which is the type of the "life to be." Among the guests from abroad were Mr. and Mrs. George Davis, of Mexico, and John Richards and mother, of Pulaski. The bride was the recipient of many elegant and valuable presents. The newly wedded pair took the evening train west to spend the honeymoon abroad.
