Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, August 9, 1947 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski Veteran Stricken In Bed ¬Glen R. Soule Was Widely Known In Eastern End - Pulaski - Glen R. Soule, 55, widely known in the eastern end of the county, where until recent years he had been a sales and service employee of motor vehicle concerns, died in his sleep, between midnight and 2 o'clock Saturday morning at his home in Lake street in this village. He had been a sufferer from a heart ailment for some years, but Friday was about the village as usual, and when he retired about 10:30 o'clock apparently was in usual health for his condition. Mrs. Soule found him dead during the early morning, and while the family physician was summoned, death evidently had come peacefully some time previously. He was born in Pulaski on February 26, 1892, a son of the late Frederick H. and Minnie Russell Soule, and attended Pulaski schools. He married Miss Josephine Parsons of New Haven, a daughter of the late L. J. Parsons, for many years a Republican leader in Oswego county, and of Mrs. Parsons. He was a veteran of World War I, and a member of Pulaski Lodge No. 415, F. & A.M., Pulaski Lodge, 648, I.O.O.F., and of Edwards Post, American Legion. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Frederick L., Lawrence A., and Bruce R. all of Pulaski, and by one brother, Leigh M. Soule of Phoenix. Funeral services will be conducted at the family home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with burial to be made in Willis cemetery.
