Newspaper Article - Wednesday, December 22, 1897 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - The Stark - Wilder Wedding - The home of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Stark was the scene of a very pretty wedding, at five o'clock in the afternoon of December 15th, the occasion being the marriage of their only daughter, Miss Fannie Stark to Charles D. Wilder. In anticipation of the event, the home was very prettily decorated with evergreens, palms, and ropes of evergreens festooned to the arch, back of which was a bank of flowers. The bridal party entered the room to the strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march played by Miss Bertha Holmes and advanced to the arch, where the marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. D. J. Bailey. The bride was assisted by Miss Nellie Soul, a cousin of the bride, and Miss Marion L. Champney while Mr. Watson Edwards and Mr. Jesse F. Hadley aided the groom. Miss Lulu Stark daintily dressed in white, preceded the bridal party and carried the wedding ring. The bride was handsomely attired in a rich traveling suit and carried a bouquet of white carnations, while the bridesmaids carried bouquets of pink carnations. After congratulations had been extended to Mr. and Mrs. Wilder, the company was seated for the enjoyment of the wedding supper, which included the delicacies fitting for such an occasion. The bride received many beautiful and costly gifts which showed the high esteem in which they held the bride and groom. The wedded couple left on the 8:20 train for Oswego, Niagara Falls and Syracuse. The bride is a very popular young lady and a favorite among her associates. The groom is well and favorably known, being a successful cheese maker in the Holmes' cheese factory for the past few years. Among those from out of town who attended the wedding were: Miss Nellie Soul, of Syracuse; Mr. Watson Edwards, of Edinburg, New York; Mr. Jesse F. Hadley, Sandy Creek; and Mr. and Mrs. Crosby Crannell, of Mayfield, New York; Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Wilder, Mexico.
