- Ruth B. Sampson, 66, of 19 Park St., died Tuesday at her home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. James Tschudy, pastor of the Pulaski Congregational Church, and the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Adams Center.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where an Order of the Eastern Star service will also be held at 7:45 p.m. Donations may be made to the Oswego County Hospice or the Pulaski Chapter 159, Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are a son, Michael J., Taberg; two daughters, Nancy E. Davidson, Panama City, Fla., and Linda S. Woods, Pulaski; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, George Adams, Clearwater, Fla.; two sisters, Muriel Mullin, Adams, and Jane Krupke, Pulaski, and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, John Wiley, and a sister, Julia Donges, died before her.
Born Dec. 24, 1928, in Watertown, a daughter of Henry and Bessie Wilbur Adams, she graduated from Adams High School in 1945.
She had lived in Pulaski since 1957.
Mrs. Sampson was a secretary at General Electric Co., Syracuse, for 26 years, retiring in 1988. She also worked for the Upstate Telephone Co. for several years.
She was secretary and past matron of the Pulaski Chapter 159, Order of the Eastern Star, and had been a member of the chapter since 1969. She was a former member of the Northern Oswego Ambulance Corps and a member of the Pulaski Monday Night Women's Bowling League.
