- Muriel I Krupke, age 97, resident of Pulaski, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2014, at her home. She resided in Pulaski since 1990, and had previously lived in Altmar, Williamstown and Brandon, FL. Muriel was born January 29, 1917 in Biddeford, ME, the daughter of Gideon and Rebecca Bedard Turgeon. She married Eric Krupke on December 24, 1936 and he passed away January 3, 1977. She and her husband owned the Checkered House Restaurant & Motel from 1957 until 1972. They had previously owned the Salmon River Inn in Altmar from 1944 until 1957. Muriel was a member of Christ Our Light Parish in Pulaski and she volunteered at Brandon Hospital in Brandon, FL. Surviving are one son, Charles (Jane) Krupke of Pulaski; two daughters, Louise Tootsie (George) Walts of Zephyrhills, FL and Diana (David) Trump of Pulaski; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral Services will be held at noon Saturday, April 26, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, with burial in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be held 10 a.m. to noon prior to the funeral.
