    • Newspaper Article - Thursday, December 30, 1886 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Arthur Decatur and Miss Lillian Herrick, both of this town, will be married on Thursday evening at the residence of her father, H. J. Herrick.

      Newspaper Article - Thursday, January 6, 1887 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - A Wedding - Quite a large number of friends and relatives assembled at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Herrick, on Thursday evening, December 30, 1886, to witness the marriage of their daughter, Lillian, to Arthur I. Decatur, of Daysville. After the ceremony, an excellent supper was served. Then an adjournment was had to the parlor where the display of presents was made. A large elegant Bible was presented by the bride's parents; a set of silver forks, toilet set, tea set, 25 yards carpet by Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Decatur; silver spoons, lace pillow shams, plush photograph album, linen tablecloth, bedspread, while basket, silver knives, sober butter knife, silver teaspoons, hanging lamp, silk Bible tidy, case of cologne, set of tablespoons, swell box cutter and bear skin robe, chamber suit, set of glass goblets, linen napkins, pocketbook, bed quilt, gold server, glass set, etc.

    • Newspaper Article - Wednesday, December 13, 1905 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Hill-Decatur - At six o'clock Thursday evening, December 7, occurred the marriage of Flora Lee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur I. Decatur, and Enos Rensselaer Hill, both of this village. Rev. B. D. Snyder perfonned the ceremony, the bridal couple standing beneath an arch of maiden hair ferns and evergreens. As the bride and groom entered the parlor they passed through and aisle formed by white satin ribbon extending from the hall to the arch, the ribbons being held by Miss Edna W. Hill, cousin of the groom, and Miss Florence K. Herrick, cousin of the bride, Lohengrin's wedding march being played by Miss Eva L. Gates, of Oswego. The wedding gown was a beautiful one of re_da green with a yoke of lace over white satin, and the bride carried pink and white carnations. Her grandfather, Hiram J. Herrick, gave her away. After the ceremony and wedding dinner was served, Miss Grace Gates, of Oswego, Miss Florence K. Herrick and Miss Edna W. Hill acting in serving. Only relatives and friends of the contracting parties were present. Mr. and Mrs. Hill left on the evening train for a western trip and after December 20, will be at home in Pulaski to their many friends.

    • Flora L. Hill, age 91, of Henderson Harbor, died Saturday evening at Mercy Hospital, Watertown where she had been a patient since Nov. 7.

      Born Oct. 2, 1887 in Pulaski, she was the daughter of Arthur and Catherine Herrick DeCatur. She attended Pulaski Academy and School. She married Enos R. Hill in 1905 and they resided on a farm near Pulaski all their married life.

      Mr. Hill died in 1937. She moved to Watertown in 1940 and later to Henderson Harbor in 1968.

      She is a member of the Park United Methodist Church and Ontario Chapter DAR.

      She is survived by 2 daughters: Mrs. Ezra (Dorothy) Williams and Mrs. E. Carl (Elizabeth) Matheson, both of Henderson Harbor; one grandson, E. Harold Williams of Watertown; 2 great-grandchildren; one cousin, Mrs. Florence Herrick Kelly of Pulaski.

      Private funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Hax Funeral Home, Rev. Polen Morris officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
