Husband of Alice Harriet Austin Dunbar (married May 30, 1910) & Pearl Anna Stafford Pearsall Dunbar (married May, 1958.) [Note: Pearl Dunbar died January 6, 1971 in Winter Haven, Polk County, Florida and is buried in Easton Cemetery at New Haven, Shiawassee County, Michigan.]
Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, July 16, 1964 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - C. E. Dunbar Rites Today - Chester E. Dunbar, 80, a former resident of Richland, died Friday evening at Lakeland, Florida, following an illness of about two months. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at the Richland Methodist Church with the Rev. Nelson Peppert, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Harold H. Barnard, former pastor, now of Bameveld, officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pearl Pearsall Dunbar; a daughter. Mrs. James (Mabel) Waite, of Pulaski, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Dunbar was born at Boylston, April 23, 1884, the son of Henry and Emily Stevens Dunbar. He was first married to Alice Austin whose death occurred July 1947. He was re-married to Mrs. Pearl Pearsall in 1958. Mr. Dunbar was in the fuel oil and gas distributing business at Richland, associated with his brother, Leon Dunbar for many years, retiring in 1949. Since 1957 he had made his home at Lakeland, Florida. He was a member of the Richland Methodist Church.
