Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 8, 1899 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mary Gridley Baker was born in this village, in fact in the house now known as the Methodist church parsonage, August 22, 1827, and died March 1, 1899, after a very brief illness. She was daughter of Thomas C. Baker, one of the early settlers of this place. In 1848 she was united in marriage to Don A. King, whose death occurred last July. The result of the union was three daughters and one son, of whom there are living two daughters, Mrs. Ella Wright and Miss S. Frances King, of this village, and the son, Charles B. King, of Colorado Springs. Mrs. King was very much attached to her home and friends, and found her greatest pleasure in domestic cares and pleasures. The funeral was held from her late residence on Saturday afternoon. Rev. J. B. Felt, assisted by Rev. A. S. Emmons, officiating. Among those from out of town in attendance at the funeral were her son, Charles B. King, Dr. and Mrs. Frank Baker and daughter, of Washington; Mrs. Thomas Baker, of Utica; Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Allen, Mrs. Jerome Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Wait, of Adams.
Newspaper Article - Wednesday, December 15, 1899 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Personal - Mr. Harrison K. Wright returned to Union and Miss Marion Wright to Syracuse University, last week. They were called here by the death of their grandmother, Mrs. King.
