      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, March 3, 1932 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Sudden Passing of Julius W. Brown - Well Known Garden Fanner at Texas Succumbs to Cerebral Hemorrhage - For 27 Years a Resident of That Section - Julius W. Brown, 68, well known garden farmer, died early Thursday morning at his home in Texas following a few hours' illness of cerebral hemorrhage. He had been in his usual good health recently and was in Mexico visiting friends Wednesday. He did the evening's work Wednesday and did not complain of feeling ill until about midnight. Dr. E. A. Mowry of this village was called but Mr. Brown died about 3 a.m. Mr. Brown was born in Richland June 2, 1863, son of Walter and Harriet Way Brown. He had lived in this town the past 27 years, being engaged chiefly in raising garden produce and selling dairy products. His main summer trade was with the cottagers at Mexico Point to whom he delivered milk and he was well known throughout this locality. He was a member of Texas Grange 128. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. H. J. Carey of the Texas Community church officiating. Burial was in Richland cemetery. The bearers were Herbert Manwarren, Ward Ramsey, William Walters and Frank Lines. Besides his wife, Luella Watkins Brown, Mr. Brown is survived by one brother, Walter Brown, residing somewhere in the west, and two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Tryon and Mrs. H. J. Price, both of Pulaski.
