Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 21, 1934 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Death Claims Well Known Port Ontario Man - Aldebert E. Allport, 60, for many years prominent in the fishing industry at Port Ontario, and well known in Pulaski and vicinity, died suddenly at his home at Port Ontario, last Thursday night of heart trouble. Mr. Allport was born in Scriba, this county, May 22, 1873, a son of Willis E. and Annie Shreves Allport, and passed his early life in his native town and Oswego. He came to the town of Richland over 40 years ago, and for the past 23 years has been a fisherman and guide in Lake Ontario off Selkirk. He was a member of the Baptist Church of this village. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nina Tifft Allport; one son, John, of Selkirk; two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Sherman of Mexico; and Mrs. Margaret Sherman of Mapleview, and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon, Rev. Lee A. Howe, Jr., pastor of the Baptist church of Pulaski, officiating. Burial was made in Daysville cemetery.
