Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, June 9, 1937 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - The announcement of the death of Mrs. Emma Woodard Cooper wife of George W. Cooper, last Wednesday was a shock to this community where she had lived a useful and active life for the past fifty years. Mrs. Cooper passed away at the family home on Lewis street after a short illness. It is true that she had not enjoyed good health for a long time, but her passing was not looked for so suddenly. She was born in Lee Center, Oneida county 69 years ago, and married Mr. Cooper on October 21, 1885 Nearly all her married life has been passed here. She was a member of Pulaski Grange, Rising Sun Rebekah Lodge, and Celia Dewey Seamans Tent D. U. V. C. W., also Hinman District Home Bureau. In all these organizations she took an active interest. Besides her husband she leaves one daughter, Mrs. Mae Leiterman, and one son, Edward Cooper, both of Syracuse. The funeral was held from the home Saturday afternoon, with Rev. Lee A. Howe Jr., pastor of the Baptist church officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery.
