Glenn Weldon House

Glenn Weldon House, 87, of Lamson Road, Phoenix, NY, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse. Born in Little France on August 8, 1924, to his late parents, Ina (Weldon) and Glenn W. House, he was a graduate of Parish High School. He retired a supervisor for Bristol-Myers Squibb, Syracuse, after 35 years. He was a member of Phoenix United Methodist Church, Century Club at Bristol Labs, and an avid sports fan. Known as a friendly person, he loved to wave at passing motorists. The family wishes to thank all those people who returned the wave of their hand back to Glenn as they drove by his home.
Surviving are his loving wife of 66 years, Winnie M. (Clark) House; his four children, Donna M. (Julius) Steiger of Nampa, ID, Susan J. (Gary) Allshouse of Pasadena, MD, and Wendy A. (Bernie) Brzostek and Chris A. (Mary) House, all of Baldwinsville; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Verda Will of Camden; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday in Phoenix United Methodist Church, 49 Jefferson St., Phoenix, NY 13135, with the Rev. Joseph I. Kim officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Cemetery, Central Square. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix.
