Philip C. White, 60, 147 Norton Road, died Thursday at his home, where he had been under the care of Oswego County Hospice. He had been ill with cancer.
Mr. White was a self-employed land excavator, a former dairy farmer, and had worked for Operating Engineers Local 545 of Syracuse.
Born May 5, 1941, in Sandy Creek, son of Howard N. and Fannie Stafford White, he attended Sandy Creek schools.
A marriage to Judy Bowser ended in divorce.
Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Timothy Keeney, and Shawn and Mary White, and Kyle and Janet White, all of Sandy Creek; a companion, Daryl Mautz, Sandy Creek; two sisters, Joy Wade, Pulaski, and Sharon Cordell, Sandy Creek; four brothers, Wayne and Reginald, both of Sandy Creek, Doug, Sacramento, Calif., and Gary, Richland, three grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
A brother, Jack M., died Nov. 30, 1971, and another brother, Norman A. White, died Sept. 28, 1992.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Summerville Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
