      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, August 6, 1959 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Claude D. Lester Rites Saturday - The remains of Claude D. Lester, who died July 29 at his home in St. Petersburg, Florida, will arrive in Pulaski Thursday evening and will be taken to the Foster Funeral Home. There will be calling hours Friday evening 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Church of Christ, Richland, Rev. Ray Williams officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery.

Lester - Rites were held Saturday, August 8, in the Richland Church of Christ for Claude D. Lester, 81, of St. Petersburg, Florida, who died Wednesday, July 29, in the Bay Pines Hospital, Florida. Surviving are his wife, Audrie H. Lester; a son, Howard D. Lester, of Hempstead, New York; two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. Born in Boylston, he lived for some time in Toledo, Ohio, and Pulaski. He moved from Pulaski to St. Petersburg in 1947 where he had since made his home. He was a retired conductor with the New York Central Railroad, having served them for 41 years in active train service. He was a member of the Joppa Lodge No. 397 of Toledo, Ohio. A veteran of the Spanish-American War and a member of General Leonard Wood Camp, No. 8, of St. Petersburg, he was a 60-year member of the I.O.O.F. of the Pulaski Lodge, No. 648, a member of the American Legion, Robert Edwards Post, No. 358 of Pulaski, and was affiliated with the Richland Church of Christ The arrangements were in the hands of the Wilhelm Funeral Home in St. Petersburg and the Foster Funeral Home in Pulaski
