      Newspaper Obituary - Sunday, January 18, 1987 Syracuse Herald American - Syracuse, New York - Richard A. Widrig, 89, of Richland, died Friday at the Harwood Nursing Home, Oswego. Born in Centerville, he was educated in the Centerville schools. He was employed by the Fred Moore Store and Long's Store in Richland. He was later employed for many years by the William P. Curtis & Sons Furniture Factory in Richland. He retired in 1962. He was a member of the Richland Methodist Church until it closed. He later attended the Richland Church of Christ. He was a charter member of the Richland Fire Company. For 35 years he was involved in scouting and served as scout master of Troop 27 in Richland. He was a former member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in Richland. Survivors include a niece, Mrs. Arlene Martin of Richland, and a nephew, Charles A. Waite of Fayetteville, North Carolina of whom he was guardian, and several other nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. today (January 18) at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, the Rev. Kenneth Spurlock officiating. Spring burial will be in Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be 1 to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, 7385 Park Street. Contributions may be made to the Richland Fire Company.
