Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, April 23, 1924 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. J. B. Averill Dies In Pennsylvania - Lula Ripsom Averill, wife of James B. Averill, born at Pulaski, New York, on November 16th, 1868, daughter of Seward and Clara Niles Ripsom, died at 210 Woodland Avenue, Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, April 19th, 1924, of pneumonia. The body of the deceased was brought to Richland, Monday, April 21st, and was at the residence of Miss Addie F. Averill, until Tuesday, April 22nd, when the funeral services were held at the Church of Christ, at 2 p.m. Burial at Richland cemetery. Many old friends who knew Mrs. Averill as a girl and the relatives were deeply grieved at her sudden decease. She is survived by her husband, James B. Averill of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, and two sons, Seward E. Averill of Punxsutawney and Hugh E. Averill of Buffalo, New York, and also a sister, Mrs. Frank Taylor of Watertown, New York.
