    • Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, February 24, 1923 Oswego Daily Palladium - Oswego, New York - Mexico, New York, February 24 - Mrs. Sophia Voodre, aged 63 years, died Friday afternoon after a long, painful illness. Deceased was born in Richland, New York. Her maiden life had been passed in this village. Surviving her are her husband, Henry Voodre, a son Grover Voodre, of Morrisville, New York, a daughter, Mrs. Cecil Stevens, and grandson, Grover Stevens, of Earleville, New York; four sisters, Mrs. F. W. Sweetland, of Syracuse, Mrs. Nellie Dawley of Solvay, New York, Mrs. Ward Stenson, of Pulaski, and Mrs. Sarah Brown, of Loraine, New York; four brothers, Draper Stewart, of Richland, Edgar Stewart, of Oswego, Ethel Stewart, of Pulaski, and Lemuel Stewart, of Syracuse, New York. Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon, at two o'clock, at her late home. The Rev. James Matthews, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church, will officiate. The remains will be put in the vault in Village cemetery, and in the spring interment will be made in Pulaski.
