    • Newspaper Obituary - December 28, 2013 The Citizen - Auburn, New York - Richard W. Myers, 63, of Orchard Avenue, Auburn, died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013 at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital, Syracuse. Richard was born in Syracuse on March 22, 1950. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971, and with the National Guard from 1971 to 1973. He had been employed locally as an automotive mechanic with Wal-Mart and Pick-n-Pull. He had an interest in cars, enjoyed going to auto races, and was an avid NASCAR fan. Richard is survived by his wife, Linda Currier Myers; three daughters, Angela (Shane) Cuff, of Palmyra, Michelle Frazier and Jenifer (Brian Sr.) Bell, all of Auburn; a son, Christopher (Penny) Jones, of Auburn; nine grandchildren; his mother, Beverly Hunter, of Auburn; two sisters, Barbara (Glenn) Hopper, of Fleming, and Kathy (Bill) Goodall, of Virginia; three brothers, Robert Hunter, of Auburn, Richard (Connie) Horr, of Weedsport, David (Cheryl) Hunter, of Cayuga. Richard was predeceased by his grandmother, Edith Kenyen. Friends are invited to call on the family from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St., Auburn. Military honors will follow at 3 p.m. There will be no public services.
