      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, August 19, 1965 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - D. P. Whaley Rites Are Held - Last rites for Delbert P. Whaley, 51, of Daysville, were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home, with the Rev. Llewellyn Jones, pastor of the Fernwood Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in South Richland Cemetery. Mr. Whaley died on Wednesday at Oswego Hospital where he had been a patient only 13 days. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna Nichols Whaley; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Betty) Quackenbush of Pulaski and Mrs. William (Jeannie) Mattice of Elbridge; one son, Donald P. Whaley of Pulaski; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Hiram (Reba) Hilton of Pulaski; three brothers, Leonard of Westdale; Irving of Richland and Stanley Whaley of Pulaski, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Whaley was born August 9, 1914 in the Town of Albion, the son of Orla and Maude French Whaley. He was educated in Richland school and was married to Miss Anna M. Nichols on July 22, 1935, in the Mexico Methodist Church by the Rev. Harold Barnard. He was a carpenter by trade and had built several houses in the Daysville and Fernwood areas. He was a mmber of the Fernwood Baptist Church.
