Newspaper Obituary - Sunday, June 27, 2010 The Post-Standard - Syracuse, New York - Clinton E. Murray, 88, a former New Woodstock/ Cazenovia resident, passed away February 18, 2010, in the presence of family members at his home in Chatsworth, California. He was a World War II veteran. Clinton is survived by his four children, Lynn, Philip (Wendy), Kevin (Kimberly) and Christopher (Denise); nine grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; his brother, George; his sister, Charlotte; many nieces and nephews. Clinton was born February 3, 1922, in the town of Richland, New York. He enrolled in the U.S. Navy in October 1942 and on board the USS Nelson and Terry. He married Mary Elinor Dooley in 1943. They lived in the CNY/Cazenovia area for 55 years. Clint was a general contractor/carpenter. He built the first Oneida Savings Bank in Cazenovia and the Cazenovia Medical Centers. Clint was an avid golfer, involved with the Cazenovia Golf Club in the 1960s and 1970s. Clint was a volunteer Foster Grandparent for Jensen Beach Elementary School and received the President's Volunteer Service Award and the Medallion of Excellence from the Florida State Senate. Clint was generous, patient and caring and spent most of his time helping others in the community. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, July 3, 2010, at St. Ann Mother of Mary Catholic Church, Mexico, New York. Interment will follow in South Richland Cemetery, Pulaski, New York.
