    • Newspaper Obituary - November 14, 1997 Watertown Daily Times - VELMA L. GREENWOOD DAIRY FARMER - Velma L. Greenwood, 84, of 211 Hinman Road, died Thursday in Oswego Hospital. Born Oct. 19, 1913, in Parish, daughter of Charles and Ella Chapman Barnes, she was a graduate of Lyons Falls High School and had lived at Lyons Falls and Mexico for may years, moving to Pulaski in 1934. She married Leon P. Greenwood Nov. 7, 1934, in Mexico Methodist Church with the Rev. Barber Waters officiating. The couple owned and operated a dairy farm for several years. Mr. Greenwood, a retiree of Blount Lumber Co., Lacona, died July 13. Mrs. Greenwood was a member of Park United Methodist Church and Pulaski Grange 730. Surviving are a daughter, Sally A. Fravor, Sandy Pond; a brother, Robert Barnes, Fulton; two sisters, Mae Gibbs, Pulaski, and Edith Wilton, Boylston; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Carole M. Wilson, died Feb. 19, 1990, and a grandson died May 18, 1982. A private funeral will be held at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Donations may be made to Park United Methodist Church or Pulaski Grange 730.

      Newspaper Obituary - November 15, 1997 Syracuse Post Standard - VELMA L. GREENWOOD - Velma L. Greenwood, 84, of 211 Hinman Road died Thursday at Oswego Hospital. Born in Parish, she lived in Mexico and Lyons Falls before moving to Pulaski in 1934. Mrs. Greenwood and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm for many years. She was a member of Park United Methodist Church and Pulaski Grange 730. Her husband, Leon P., died July 13. Surviving are a daughter, Sally A. Fravor of Sandy Pond; a brother, Robert Barnes of Fulton; two sisters, Mae Gibbs of Pulaski and Edith Wilson of Boylston; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Services are private. Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St., Pulaski, has arrangements.
