The funeral for Norman A. White, 56, of 8138 Caster Road, will be at 3 p.m. today at the Summerville Funeral Home, with the Rev. Virgil H. Hager, pastor of the Sandy Creek First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr. White died at 7 a.m. Monday in the emergency room of the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, where he was taken after being stricken at his home. An autopsy indicated he had hypertensive cardiac hypertrophy.
Surviving are his wife, Donna J.; two sons, Kevin, Central Square, and Korey, Sandy Creek; two daughters, Mrs. William (Candie) Crawford and Paula White, both of Pulaski; a foster daughter, Lisa Schroeder, Pulaski; a granddaughter and a grandson; his mother, Fannie B. White, Sandy Creek; two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Sharon) Cordell and Mrs. Al (Joy) Wade, both of Sandy Creek; five brothers, Wayne, Philip and Reginald, all of Sandy Creek, Howard "Doug," Citrus Heights, Calif., and Gary, Richland; and several nieces and nephews.
A twin sister, Nancy, died at birth, and a brother, Jack, died in 1971. His father, Howard, died Jan. 28, 1990.
Born Aug. 5, 1936, in Lacona, a son of Howard and Fannie Stafford White, he was educated in Sandy Creek schools.
He married Donna J. Curtis on Dec. 22, 1961, at Harrisville.
Mr. White was a life resident of Sandy Creek. At the time of his death, he was employed by Schoeller Technical Papers Inc., Pulaski. He had worked there the past 23 years. He previously was employed for 15 years at the General Electric Co., Syracuse.
He served in the Army from 1959-61 and was a member of Army Reserves from 1961-65. He was a member of Paper Makers International Union Local 1066, Sandy Creek Grange 127, Robert Edwards American Legion Post 358, Pulaski, and was an exempt Sandy Creek volunteer fireman.
