  • Notes
    • Yvonne helped to raise her younger siblings for a time after her Mother's death in 1926. Going to work in Camden in the early 30s she met and married Lyndon Walker of Westdale area. The couple soon moved to Redfield where they raised their family through the 1940s. "Mone" was for a time a cook in local logging camps where Lyndon worked.
Following Lyndon's death, "Mone" settled permanently in Rome. She followed her mother in a too early death due to cancer.
Wherever "Mone's" home was was sure to be love, great fun and home cooking. Mone and Lyndon are still widely regarded for their humor and hospitality. A wonderful legacy to remember of their Brief lives.
"Mone" was carried to her grave by cousins Harry and Charles McCaw, brothers-in-law Arden, Vernon and Lyle Walker and Charles Underwood, father of Butch's wife Sandy.
