    • Newspaper Article - Thursday, June 7, 1888 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Lacona - Mr. Charles Soule of Sand Bank, and Miss Cora M. Tifft, youngest daughter of the late Leander Tifft, were united in wedlock Wednesday afternoon at the residence of the bride on the Ridge Road. May their joys be great and their sorrows (little ones).

Newspaper Article - Thursday, June 7, 1888 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Married - Soule - Tifft - In Sandy Creek, June 6, by Rev. J. K. Griffith, Miss C. May Tifft, daughter of the late Leander Tifft, to Mr. Charles T. Soule, Sand Bank.

Newspaper Article - Thursday, June 7, 1888 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Wedding Bells - We did not really hear them; and yet we did. Of course, there was no audible sound, for there was no bell at hand to make it unless it was a dinner bell or the fair belles who appeared on the scene. But there was music, if not in the air, then in the hearts of some people. The occasion was the marriage of Miss C. May Tifft, daughter of the late Leander Tifft of this town, to Mr. Charles T. Soule of Sand Bank. The number of guests was not large. There were none except the relatives and most intimate friends of the bride and groom. It goes without saying that the bride was charming It may be added also that everybody seemed exceedingly happy. The ceremony, in which Rev. J. K. Griffith officiated, took place at five o’clock, after which a good supper was served. The newly married pair started south last night. They are to spend some two weeks of their honeymoon in the neighborhood of Norwich, Chenango County. Then after some time here, they are to take up their residence in Olean. There were some fine wedding gifts sent in, and the evidence is that Mrs. Soule is held in very kindly esteem by her friends. We wish the newly made man and wife all prosperity and joy. May it be said of them to the end of their days: “Two souls with but a single thought.”
