- Watertown Daily Times (NY) - May 4, 1994 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - JAMES F. GREEN, 79, PULASKI, DIES AT HOME - James F. Green, 79, of 7401 Port St., died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours were scheduled for 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Surviving are a son, James W., Pulaski; a daughter, Linda E. Frank, Pulaski; a stepson, Frederick C. Learned, Lakeland, Fla.; a sister, Alma G. King, Mattydale; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Born June 16, 1914, in Pulaski, son of James and Martha Flagg Green, he graduated from Pulaski High School in 1933. A life resident of Pulaski, Mr. Green retired in 1985 after 12 years as owner and operator of the Minuteman Gas Station. He had previously worked 30 years in construction. He married Eva Learned Oct. 15, 1947, in the Pulaski Methodist Church with the Rev. James N. Pauley officiating. Mrs. Green was killed in an automobile accident July 19, 1974. Mr. Green was a member of the Park United Methodist Church, the Elms Golf Club and Local 322, Laborers Union. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a life member of Robert Edwards Post 358, American Legion, and Pulaski Post 7289, Veterans of Foreign Wars.

His wife, the former Eva Hilton, died in 1974. Mr. Green was a member of Park United Methodist Church, the Elms Golf Club and Local 322, Laborers Union.
