Newspaper Article - Wednesday, January 5, 1898 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Richland - The home of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Harmon was the scene of a very pretty wedding, at 5 o'clock on the afternoon of December 29, when their niece, Miss Emma Hay was united in marriage to Charlie Cooper, of Pulaski, in anticipation of the event the home was prettily decorated with evergreens and potted plants. Soft strains from the organ at which Miss Anna Joyce presided were heard as the bridal couple descended the stairs, led by Bert Cooper, brother of the groom and Harold Hall, of Pulaski, as best man and Misses Perl Cooper, sister of the groom, and Miss Grace Stewart as bridesmaids led by the bride and groom. They took a position under an arch of evergreens where Rev. Lathrop, of Brewerton, pronounced them man and wife. After congratulations, the company went to the dining room where a fine collation was served. The bride was dressed in blue and wore a bouquet of white carnations and smilax. The presents were useful and pretty, among them we saw silver knives and forks, teaspoons, dessert spoons, sugar shells, butter knife, water set, rocking chair, dining room chairs, carpets, center table, a beautiful lamp and many other things. They took the evening train for Syracuse amid showers of rice and good wishes of all their friends.
