- Newspaper Obituary - May 8, 2008 Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - James F. Priest, 80, of Parish, died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, NY. He was the son of the late George and Doris Ingerson Priest. He was retired as Highway Superintendent for the town of Albion. After retirement, he was known for Jim's wood business. He was an avid fisherman and Yankee fan. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, the former, Jean Peterson; three sons, James (Kathy) Priest Jr. of Parish, Lawrence (Karen) Priest of Parish, David (Kathy) Priest of Parish; three daughters, Linda Bristol of Pulaski, Mary (Mark) Muckey of Verona, Debbie (Robbie) Robinson of Pulaski; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, June (Bob) French of Pulaski, Shirley Shephard of Parish, Gloria (Ed) Bennett of Parish; two brothers, Alfred (Beatrice) Priest of Altmar, Ronald (Cheryl) Priest of Parish; one brother-in-law, Karl Trumble of Hastings. Predeceased by two brothers, Ed and Gary; one sister, Joyce. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday from the Dugway Methodist Church. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Dugway, NY. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday from Harter Funeral Home, 2983 W. Main St., Parish, NY.
