      Florence S. "Bear" Litts, 75, of 7065 Route 3, died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse.

      Mrs. Litts was a therapy assistant for many years at St. Joseph's Hospital and operated an adult home in Pulaski before becoming co-owner of the Bear's Sleepy Hollow RV Park, which she operated for 16 years, retiring in 1994. She was also a citizens band radio operator for many years, going by the handle "Running Bear."

      Born May 15, 1921, in Pulaski, daughter of George and Vesta Smart Cates, she graduated from Pulaski Academy High School and lived in Pulaski her entire life.

      She married Clarence "Pete" Litts on May 15, 1938, in her parents' home with the Rev. Albert E. Lawrence officiating.

      Surviving besides her husband are two sons, James, Pulaski, and John, St. Petersburg, Fla.; four daughters, Janet Pfluger, Altmar, and Joan Fitzpatrick, Jean Harvey and Julie Gregory, all of Pulaski, 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

      The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Spring burial will be in Daysville Cemetery.

      Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
