Adele M. Garvin, 50, of 3256 County Route 22, died Wednesday evening at her home. She had been ill with cancer.
Before becoming ill, Mrs. Garvin was last employed at Schoeller Technical Papers, Pulaski, where she had worked since 1994. She previously worked at Miller Brewery Co., Fulton, from 1976 to 1993.
Born March 6, 1950, in Fulton, daughter of Ralph and Lois Ashby Stoutenger, she was a graduate of Liverpool High School. She lived in Liverpool until moving to Orwell in 1971.
Marriages to Arthur J. Macri Sr. and Roger Garvin ended in divorce.
Mrs. Garvin was a former Sunday school teacher and member of Orwell Union Church and vice president of the Cogswells Free Library Board. She was a member of United Papermakers International Union Local 1066 and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 2587, and a former member of Orwell Fire Department Auxiliary and Girl Scouts Council.
Surviving are her companion, David Brancato, with whom she resided; a son, Arthur J. Macri Jr., Pulaski; a daughter, Lisa M. Stannard, Volney; her parents of Orwell; a brother, Ralph Stoutenger Jr., Liverpool, and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Roger Bell officiating.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
