    • Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, August 25, 1926 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mary A. Philbrick, widow of Waite Wheeler, was born in this village, November 8, 1842. She spent many years a resident of Sandy Creek, but has spent winters in Pulaski for some time, with her sister, Mrs. Harriet M. Price, of Lake St. She came here about eight weeks ago and has been ill during that time. She passed away Sunday night. She had been a faithful member of the Sandy Creek Methodist Episcopal church for many years. Mrs. Wheeler is survived by one son, George, of Oswego and one sister, Mrs. Price of this village and a nephew, Clarence Philbrick, also of this village. She leaves a grandson, George Wheeler Jr. of Oswego, a granddaughter, Mrs. F. A. Woodward, New Haven, and two great-grandchildren, George Wheeler 3rd and Frances Woodward. Prayer was made at the home of Mrs. Price, yesterday morning at 9 o'clock after which undertaker Foster Pratt, of Sandy Creek took the body to the Wheeler home in Sandy Creek where funeral services were held at 2 o'clock, conducted by Mr. Byron G. Seamans, of Pulaski. Mrs. Wheeler had many friends in Sandy Creek and Pulaski and though she had lived beyond the allotted time, she had ever kept heart and interest in those near to her and the many friends she had drawn to her in her long life.

      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, August 26, 1926 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Mrs. Mary A. Wheeler, aged 86, widow of the late Waite Wheeler, died Sunday night at the home of her sister, Mrs. Harriet M. Price, in Pulaski following an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Wheeler was born in Pulaski November 8, 1842. She is survived by one son, George of Oswego; one sister, Mrs. Price of Pulaski; a grandson, George Wheeler Jr. of Oswego; a granddaughter, Mrs. F. A. Woodward of New Haven; two great grandchildren, George Wheeler 3d and Frances Woodward; also a nephew, Clarence Philbrick of Pulaski. Mrs. Wheeler has been a resident of Sandy Creek for many years but since her health became enfeebled, she had spent the winter months with her sister. She went to Pulaski about eight weeks ago and has been ill during that time. For many years she had been a faithful member and attendant upon the services of the First Methodist Episcopal church in Sandy Creek where she has many relatives and warm friends who will mourn her departure. Prayer was made at the home of her sister, Mrs. Price, Tuesday morning, at nine o'clock after which Undertaker F. S. Pratt brought the body to her home here, where funeral services were held with Editor Byron G. Seamans of Pulaski officiating. The burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
