Olive M. Hammond, 76, of 7620 North St., died Saturday at 7:10 a.m. at the House of Good Samaritan, Watertown, where she had been a patient since Aug. 3.
The funeral will be Monday at 9 a.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, and at 10 a.m. at St. John's Church, Pulaski. Rev. Anthony J. Keeffe will officiate. The Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wesleyan Cemetery, Lacona.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Treatment Center at House of the Good Samaritan.
Mrs. Hammond is survived by her husband, Anselm; a sister, Mrs. Avis Branche, Punta Gorda, Fla.; a brother, James Ridgeway, Lacona; and several nieces and nephews. Three of her brothers, Myron, Leon, and Newell Ridgeway, died previously.
Born Feb. 15, 1912 son of the late Myron and Olive Ridgeway in the Town of Boylston, Mrs. Hammond was educated in Sandy Creek schools. She was married May 25, 1940 at Croghan. Mr. and Mrs. Hammond moved to Pulaski in 1946.
Mrs. Hammond was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was formerly employed by Carrier Corp. in Syracuse.
