- Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, January 30, 2001 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Dora Ann Archibee, Homemaker - Dora Ann Archibee, 72, of 3426 County Route 22, formerly of Sandy Creek, died Monday at her sister's home in Orwell. Born October 7, 1928, in Orwell, daughter of Franklin and Mildred Squires Graham, she was a 1946 graduate of Sandy Creek Central School. She married Arnold T. Archibee on June 30, 1949, at the home of Rev. R.C. Eddins, pastor of Glen Echo Baptist Church, St. Louis, Missouri. The couple lived in Sandy Creek. Mr. Archibee died April 8, 1978. Mrs. Archibee moved back to Orwell in 1978 and spent many winters in Lakeland, Florida. She was a member of the Orwell Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are a daughter, Lydiann Marie Ferro, Lakeland; four sons, Ronald A., Lacona, and David A., Brian K. and Daniel A., all of Sandy Creek; a sister, Mildred "Midge" Reynolds, Orwell; two brothers, Kenneth Graham, Orwell, and Donald Graham, Lakeland, nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild. A son, Bruce L., died September 22, 1984. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Spring burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Orwell Fire Department Rescue Squad, County Route 2, Orwell, New York 13473.
