NEWSPSPAPER OBITUARY - Thursday, December 4, 1941 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Last Rites Saturday For Mrs. Philbrick - Mrs. Ida Hollis Philbrick, 69, native of this village, died Wednesday at her home in Syracuse. She was born in 1972, daughter of Wesley Monroe and Maryette Tryon Hollis. In 1891, she married George E. Tryon, and lived at Lacona and Richland. He died a year later. In 1902, she married Newton Philbrick, who survives, along with her mother; a son, Ray Tryon; two daughters, Miss Florence Tryon, and Mrs. William Martin; a sister, Miss Bessie M. Hollis of Middleton; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Weston and Woodard funeral home, Sandy Creek. Burial was at Sandy Creek.
