Bertha Dingman, 77, formerly of Ellisburg, died Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Phyllis Pitcher, county Route 2, Richland. She had suffered from cancer.
The funeral will be 9 a.m. Monday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Virgil H. Hager, pastor of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Wesleyan Cemetery, Lacona.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 7385 Park St., Pulaski.
Surviving are three sons, LeRoy R. and Lawrence, both of Richland, and Leon H., Watertown; seven daughters, Beatrice Balcom, Rodman, Bonnie Graham, Orwell, Maureen Lance and Phyllis Pitcher, both of Richland, Betty Castor, Adams, Wilma Dingman, Belleville, Texas, and Viola Martin, Adams Center; 85 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren; and three brothers, Eddie Berry, Rodman, Walter Berry, Woodville, and Cecil Berry, Pulaski.
Born in Rodman Jan. 14, 1914, the daughter of Dee and Nellie Putman Berry, she attended Rodman schools and had lived in Ellisburg most of her life before moving to Richland 10 years ago.
She married Cornelius W. Dingman Sept. 18, 1933. He died June 9, 1967.
