Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, February 29, 1996 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Helen Shaw, Formerly Of Pulaski, Dies At 74 - Helen F. Shaw, 74, formerly of Pulaski, died Tuesday at Loretto Heights Nursing Home, Oswego, after a long illness. The funeral will be at noon Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Spring burial will be in Daysville Cemetery, Richland. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Loretto Heights Funeral Home. Surviving are five sons, Thomas M., Naples, Florida., Freddie J., Fort Lauderdale, Florida., Merton R., Pulaski, and Claude A. and Earl, both of Richland; five daughters, Nancy Wood, LaFayette, Linda L. Zayown, Richland, Judy L. Bouchard, Pulaski, Kathy D. Shaw, Augusta, Georgia., and Frances Fox, Mexico; a sister, Florence Mowers, Pulaski; 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Born October 8, 1921, in Syracuse, daughter of Fred and Stella Delong Frank, she was a 1941 graduate of Pulaski Academy and had lived most of her life in the Pulaski area. She was employed with Easy Washer Co., Syracuse, the Coffee Cup Restaurant and Evergreen Nursing Home. Mrs. Shaw was a former president of the auxiliaries of Pulaski Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7289 and American Legion Post 368. She was also former president of the Oswego County Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary.
