      Perry W. Hastings, age 105 resident of Pulaski died Tuesday at St. Luke's Health Services Center in Oswego. Perry was born August 05, 1903 in Sandy Creek, the son of Eugene and Carolyn Haven Hastings. He lived in Lacona from 1903 until 1920 when he moved to Pulaski. He graduated from Pulaski Academy High School in 1922 and attended Syracuse University. Perry was married to Dorothy Lilley Hastings for 76 years from September 10, 1927 until she passed away September 1, 2003. Perry first worked as a traveling salesman before joining his father in the E.M. Hastings Coal Co. and Real Estate Agency. In 1937 he joined Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. where he worked for 25 years before returning to Hastings Agency, the family business which he owned for 15 years, retiring in 1985. He enjoyed traveling, was an avid reader and writer and took up golf in retirement. Perry was a member of the Pulaski Historical Society where he contributed to a book titled Salmon River Odyssey published by Hope Marston. He was a past master and member of the Pulaski Masonic Lodge #415. He was also a past priest and member of the Royal Masons, Pulaski Chapter #279. Perry was a member of the Pulaski Congregational Church, and a former member of NOCA.

      Surviving: one son, David Hastings of Pulaski, two daughters, Marilyn H. Lindenthal of Pacific Grove, CA, and B. Eleanor Ackermann of Schenectady, NY, nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

      Graveside Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 13th at Pulaski Cemetery with the Reverend James Tschudy officiating. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements made by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pulaski Congregational Church, 27 Lake Street, Pulaski, NY 13142.
