- Newspaper Obituary - Friday, October 3, 1975 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Allen T. King, 61, of 7290 Port Street, Pulaski, died shortly after being admitted to the Oswego Hospital Thursday afternoon. Born November 3, 1913 in Orwell, he was the son of Thomas and Edith Allen King. He graduated from Pulaski Academy and Central Schools in 1933, and attended the Syracuse School of Forestry in Wannakena. He served in World War II with the United States Marines in the South Pacific. He was married February 9, 1946 to Viantha Canfield in Pulaski. He was employed with various construction firms around the area, last working with Peter Kiewit Sons and Company at Nine Mile Point. He was a member of St. John's Evangelist Church, and a member of the Robert Edwards Post 358 American Legion. He was a member of The Oswego Laborer's Local No. 214. Surviving besides his wife are a son, Michael King of Rochester; a daughter, Mrs. Raney (Donna) day of Mannsville; two grandsons, and a sister, Mrs. Mildred Twitchell. A brother, Paul King of Mattydale, died January 20, 1975. Services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, and 10 a.m. at St. John's Evangelist Church in Pulaski, Rev. Thomas P. Whalen officiating. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
