Newspaper Obituary - Friday, September 3, 1999 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Harold E. Shaw Owned Bike Repair Shop - Harold E. Shaw, 75, Maple Avenue, died Wednesday at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Syracuse. Mr. Shaw was a lifelong resident of the Pulaski-Richland area. He worked at Pulaski Lumber Company and construction companies in Syracuse and Massena. He owned a used-bicycle and repair shop in Pulaski. He was a member and past commander of Post 7289, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Robert Edwards Post 358, American Legion, and a member of Park United Methodist Church. Born August 5, 1924, in Richland, son of Thomas and Laura Gregory Shaw, he attended Pulaski schools. He served in the Navy during World War II. He married Beatrice Adsit in 1943. Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Brenda Pepper, Oswego; a sister, Etta Mae Cosilman, Richland; a brother, Thomas, Pulaski, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
