      Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, November 8, 2003 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Fred C. Caufield Worked For Paper Company - Fred C. Caufield, 57, of 80-A Lake Street, died Thursday at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Syracuse, from complications of diabetes. Mr. Caufield was employed by Schoeller Technical Papers for 30 years, retiring in 2001, and previously was employed by Corse Press, Sandy Creek. Born July 30, 1946, in Sandy Creek, son of Carroll and Beulah Smith Caufield, he attended Sandy Creek schools and served from 1965 to 1969 in the Navy. He was wounded while serving in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart. A lifelong resident of the Sandy Creek-Pulaski area, he was a member of Robert Edwards American Legion Post 358 and a former member of Sandy Creek Fire Department and Pulaski Lions Club. He also bowled in several leagues in Pulaski. Surviving are his companion of 22 years, Agnes Height, and his former wife, Cynthia Caufield, both of Pulaski; two sons, Timothy, Albany, and Todd, Lacona; a daughter, Tori Wadsworth, Pulaski; his companion's daughters, Kim Roxby, Pittston, Pennsylvania, Lori Hall, Lacona, and Amy Hall, Worth; six sisters, Margaret Dence, Sandy Creek, Patricia Hunt, Chaumont, Anne Eggleston, Central Square, and Catherine Ridgeway, Verna Kay Caufield and Judy Donahue, all of Lacona, and 12 grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
