- Thomas Morton Shaw - August 15, 1921 - May 1, 2004. Military Service: Veteran of the United States Army during World War H. Son of Thomas Sidney and Laura Belle Gregory Shaw. Husband of Iris Victoria Trumble (married about 1942, divorced April 4, 1946) & Helen A. Frank (married September 24, 1946, divorced.) [Note: Iris Trumble married Kenneth Southwell, she died in Pulaski on September 18, 2002, it is unknown where she is buried.] [Note: Helen Frank died February 27, 1996 in Oswego, New York and is buried in Daysville Cemetery at Pulaski, New York.]
Newspaper Obituary - Monday, May 3, 2004 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Thomas M. Shaw, Jr., State Highway Department Retiree - Thomas M. Shaw Jr., 82, a lifelong resident of Pulaski, died Saturday in Oswego Hospital. Mr. Shaw worked for the New York State Highway Department, North Syracuse, for 10 years, retiring in 1983. Previously, he had worked for General Electric Company and Pulaski Lumber Company. He was a past commander and member of Robert Edwards American Legion Post 358 and a member of Pulaski Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7289. Born August 15, 1921, in the town of Richland, son of Thomas M. Sr. and Laura Gregory Shaw, he attended Pulaski schools and served in the Army from 1944 to 1946. Marriages to Iris V. Trumble and Helen Frank ended in divorce. Surviving are four sons, Thomas M. III, Pulaski, Merton R., Solvay, Fred J., Florida, and Earl E., Richland; five daughters, Nancy Wood, Syracuse, Linda Zaytown, Richland, Judy L. Bouchard, Lillington, North Carolina, Kathy D. Torrence, Lorton, Virginia, and Frances Fox, Mexico; a sister, Etta Mae Cosilman, Pulaski, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A son, Claude A, died in 2001. The funeral will be at 10 am. Wednesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
