      Newspaper Obituary - Friday, January 30, 2009 Salmon River News - Pulaski, New York - Alice L. Ells, age 77, resident of Fernwood since 1950, died Friday, January 23 in a fire at her home on the Manwaring Road. She was born July 4, 1931 in Parish, the daughter of Theodore and Pearl Russell Willis. She graduated from Parish High School in 1949. She married Earl K. Ells on June 20, 1950, he died August 20, 1986. She and her husband operated a dairy and poultry farm for 44 years. She was also predeceased by her parents Theodore and Pearl Russell Willis and her sister Mary Owen. Surviving are one daughter, Phyllis (Larry) Fox of Pulaski; one grandson Michael (Theresa) Fix of Pulaski, two great-grandchildren Bridgette and Colby Fox; two sisters, Loretta (Wayne) Graham of Parish, Marion Willis of Sterling; one brother, William Willis of Central Square and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held in the spring at South Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 2-4 Saturday, January 31, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski. Donations may be made to the Ringgold Fire Department, Lake Street, Pulaski, 13142.
