    • NEWSPAPER OBITUARY - Mrs. Celia Smith Manwaring, 70, wife of Herbert A. Manwaring of Daysville, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Delizon M. Waite, on the Mexico Road, last Thursday afternoon following a shock which she suffered the Monday before. She was one of the oldest and best known residents of the west part of the town. Mrs. Manwaring was born in Daysville March 2, 1865, a daughter of Warren and Lavica Slater Smith. When a young girl she moved with her parents to Madison county returning after a few years to her native neighborhood where the rest of her life was passed. On October 6, 1886, she was united in marriage to Mr. Manwaring, the marriage taking place in Scriba. She was a member of Daysville M. E. church. Besides her husband, there survives her three sons, Ora, of Daysville, James and Warren of Pulaski; three daughters, Mrs. Harold Franklin of Pulaski; Mrs. D. M. Waite and Mrs. William Jamerson of Daysville; one brother, Lewis Smith of California, several grandchildren and one great grandson. The funeral was held at the family home Sunday afternoon, Rev. George T. Butler officiating. Burial in Primitive Cemetery, Mexico.
